Mercedes lodged complaint against Verstappen Mercedes has officially lodged a complaint against Red Bull rival Max Verstappen due to the manner of his defending from Lewis Hamilton during the final stages of the Japanese Grand Prix. Mercedes claim Red Bull's Verstappen drove 'erratically and in a dangerous manner' in contravention of rules in the move on the penultimate lap. Hamilton attempted an attack in the final chicane on the penultimate lap, with Verstappen moving to cover the inside line.
