Mercedes lodges protest over Verstappen move

– Mercedes has formally lodged a protest against Red Bull rival Max Verstappen due to the manner of his defensive driving against Lewis Hamilton during the closing stages of the Japanese Grand Prix.Verstappen held second position, behind Nico Rosberg, for much of the race, though came under threat from Hamilton during the closing stages at Suzuka.Hamilton launched an attack on the approach to the chicane on the penultimate lap, with Verstappen moving to cover the inside line.Hamilton took to the outside and went wide, re-joining back in third spot, with the order maintained across the final lap of the...
