Mercedes AMG win 2016 Constructor's Championship

Japanese Grand Prix – Mercedes AMG have claimed this year's title, following a 1-3 finish at Suzuka. Mercedes have won their third consecutive Constructor's Championship by taking two podium places in Japan. Polesitter Nico Rosberg claimed a convincing win ahead of Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen, while Lewis Hamilton added a further fifteen points to Merc's tally by claiming the final podium spot. Mercedes have won every Constructor's Championship since the change of technical regulations at the end of 2013, swapping 2.4 naturally aspirated V8s for 1.6 litre turbocharged V6s.
