Massa surprised by Haas pace on 'very difficult' day for Williams
Japanese Grand Prix – The Williams team were disappointed to lose out to both Haas and Force India in the qualifying session for the Japanese Grand Prix. The Williams pairing of Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa were forced to settle for eleventh and twelfth on the grid respectively after missing out on progressing to the third part of qualifying. The result gives their main competitors Force India an advantage heading into the race, with fourth place in the constructors' championship being contested by the two teams.
