Rosberg tops damp final practice

Japanese Grand Prix – Nico Rosberg was fastest in a damp final practice, with a time of 1:32.092. Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel were second and third respectively. The session started with drivers venturing out on intermediate, or even wet tyres, after rain overnight. However, drivers reported during their installation laps that the track was ready for slick tyres, which were fitted to their cars when they pitted. There was, however, some half an hour wait before drivers took to the track again as the circuit was not in the ideal range for dry tyres, as the track remained somewhat greasy.
