Renault have ‘given up' on Sainz

Christian Horner has revealed that Renault have 'given up' in their pursuit of Carlos Sainz as Red Bull have no intension of letting him go. Although Renault were initially chasing Sergio Perez, the Enstone team has been linked to Sainz in recent weeks. The Spaniard, though, already has a Red Bull deal in place for next season that will see him remain with Toro Rosso for a third year running. But even with that deal on the table, Renault reportedly continued in their efforts to sign him.
