Breakthrough point for Palmer after ‘Straightforward’ Malaysian GP

Jolyon Palmer was jubilant after finally finding his way into the top ten during the Malaysian Grand Prix and taking his first point in Formula 1. The Renault Sport F1 driver was happy to recover from a disappointing qualifying effort that he felt was not as good as hoped with a strong drive to tenth on Sunday, doing enough to stay ahead of Carlos Sainz Jr until the chequered flag.
