Daniel Ricciardo leads Red Bull 1-2 as Lewis Hamilton's engine blows

Daniel Ricciardo claimed his first victory of the 2016 season for Red Bull in Malaysia, as what looked like a comfortable victory for Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton came crashing down when his engine gave up just 17 laps from the end of the race. The Briton led from the start and looked in control of the grand prix before flames shot out from the rear of his W09, to which Hamilton exclaimed 'No, no, no' in disbelief. The reliability troubles handed the lead to Ricciardo who fought against Red Bull team-mate Max Verstappen in the closing laps, with the pair split by just 2.4 seconds to claim a 1-2 for the Milton Keynes team.
