Red Bull find short run improvement for qualifying
Malaysian Grand Prix – Red Bull were able to improve their short run pace after Friday practice to secure the second row in qualifying. Both drivers were vying for the front row with Nico Rosberg after the German made an error on his first lap in Q3. However, a clean run at the end of qualifying saw him comfortably take second. Max Verstappen out-qualified team mate Daniel Ricciardo for only the third time this season in third. “I thought it was going to be a tough race for us before we came here,” Verstappen said, “Now it seems like the balance of the car is there, the long runs seem good and we have improved our short run pace a lot. “We were pretty close to the Mercedes on the...
