Alonso boosted by McLaren improvements

– Fernando Alonso was left boosted by McLaren's progress after an encouraging pair of practice sessions for the Malaysian Grand Prix.Alonso clocked the fifth best time in the opening session at Sepang and reinforced McLaren's pace with the seventh quickest time later in the day, 1.3s behind Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton.Alonso, though, is set to start from the back of the grid, due to a 30-place grid penalty for having new engine components fitted to his MP4-31."We completed a good number of laps today and got through all the tests we'd planned to do," he said."We even managed to conduct some experiments aimed at next year's car, which was really positive."We still...
