Malaysian GP: Hamilton leads FP2 as Alonso shows promise

Lewis Hamilton led the way in second practice for the Malaysian Grand Prix ahead of Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg. The world champion set the best time of the day with a 1:34.944 lap that put him over two tenths of a second clear of Rosberg, the quickest man in FP1. Hamilton, using the soft Pirelli tyres, was the only driver to dip into the 1m34s during the 90 minutes of running. Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel was third quickest ahead of teammate Kimi Raikkonen, although both men finished over half a second off the pace set by Hamilton.
