In detail: Sepang International Circuit changes

Malaysian Grand Prix – The Sepang International Circuit has seen a plethora of changes in a bid to improve drainage and safety for both car and motorcycle racing. These changes include altered cambers and elevations, as well as the addition of gravel traps which increase safety for the MotoGP machines which race the Malaysia circuit shortly after the Formula One. Turn 1 is a prime example of this, with the tarmac run-off area being shortened to alow for more gravel. The resurfacing of the track has ironed out the bumps that famously made the first corner such a challenge under braking. Turn 2 is the first corner on the circuit to see an elevation change.
