Resurfaced Sepang a new challenge for F1 teams - Pirelli

Pirelli technical boss Mario Isola expects the newly resurfaced Sepang circuit to provide F1 teams with a new challenge this weekend. In addition to a less abrasive surface, all bumps have been removed and the cambers at some corners have been changed, which will have an impact on lines. One of the main aims of the revisions was to reduce the impact of standing water, which means that the track will also be very different in wet conditions. There were some issues with "weeping" at Turn 9 with the track remaining damp after rain, but those have now been addressed.
