Red Bull are not open to Sainz to Renault deal
Toro Rosso team boss Franz Tost has firmly shut the door on any speculation that Red Bull would be open to a deal allowing Carlos Sainz to race for Renault. Sainz, who lost out on a Red Bull promotion earlier this season which was instead handed to Max Verstappen, has already been confirmed by Toro Rosso for next season. That, though, has done little to quieten Renault's interest in the Spaniard. The French manufacturer are believed to be keen on putting Sainz in one of their cars next season as they look to improve on this year's wretched performances.
