Wehrlein wraps up wet 2017 test

Pascal Wehrlein covered 135 laps on the final day of Pirelli's two-day wet weather tyre test, which is in preparation for 2017. Wehrlein, who was behind the wheel of a modified Mercedes F1 car, spent a second day lapping the Paul Ricard in France on Thursday. The German ran the wider 2017 tyres with the intermediates 305/675-13 at the front and 405/675-13 at the rear while the full wets are 305/680-13 at the front and 405/680-13 at the rear. He covered 135 laps to bring the tally for the entire test to 270 laps. Pirelli will next test the Montmelo circuit in Spain, swapping the wets for slicks for the October 12-13 outing that will once again feature Mercedes. Red Bull will be in action...
