McLaren dismisses Apple investment reports

McLaren has denied it is in discussions with smartphone maker Apple, with reports suggesting the company is looking to invest or takeover the Woking based company which, alongside its Formula 1 team, manufactures high-end supercars and simulators. The Financial Times claimed insiders involved in the deal had confirmed that Apple and McLaren had been in discussion about a possible deal, valuing the company between £1-£1.5 billion. The report goes on to suggest Apple is interested in the McLaren Applied Technologies side of the business, which manufacturers and designs electronic devices as well as simulation software, which could prove beneficial to Apple's 'project...
