New F1 chairman looking to expand calendar to 'great cities'

New Formula 1 chairman Chase Carey is looking to expand the series’ calendar to “the great cities in the world”, including locations such as New York and Los Angeles. Carey has been appointed by F1’s new owners, Liberty Media, and made his debut in the F1 paddock at the Singapore Grand Prix last weekend. Liberty Media listed evolving the F1 calendar as one of its main aims after the announcement of the takeover and Carey is keen to expand the schedule in the US market. “It is too early to have a clear plan, but we clearly will have a plan to develop America, to be in the right market,” he told the official F1 website. “Formula 1 is a great premium...
