Rosberg "knew" Ricciardo wouldn't pass him on last lap

Nico Rosberg says he knew Red Bull rival Daniel Ricciardo would not be able to pass him on the final lap of the Singapore Grand Prix. Ricciardo took advantage of a late switch to supersoft tyres to delete a 20-second gap to Rosberg over the final laps of the race. The Australian caught his Mercedes rival right at the end, but Rosberg kept him at bay to take his eighth win of the season. While Rosberg conceded he had to be "on it" all the time, he said he knew victory was his when the final lap started.
