Rosberg takes Singapore victory despite late Ricciardo challenge

Singapore Grand Prix – Mercedes' Nico Rosberg survived a late charge from Red Bull Racing's Daniel Ricciardo to secure his first Singapore Grand Prix victory. Triggered by pit stops for Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen, Daniel Ricciardo pitted for new super soft tyres in the final fifteen laps of the race. Mercedes elected to keep Rosberg out on circuit and attempt to see the end of the race on the soft tyres. This move saw Ricciardo reel in Rosberg to set up a late challenge for the race win, reducing the lead to less than one second at the finish line.
