Daniil Kvyat: “Back where we should be”

Daniil Kvyat enjoyed a positive qualifying session on Saturday at the Marina Bay Street Circuit as he qualified an excellent seventh, just two-tenths of a second behind team-mate Carlos Sainz Jr. The Scuderia Toro Rosso team qualified sixth and seventh for the Singapore Grand Prix, one of their best performances of the year, with the Russian delivering a quick lap time despite only having one chance due to the limited amount of Ultrasoft tyres he had left at his disposal.
