Rosberg silences Mercedes’ pace fears as Hamilton hits trouble in FP2

Singapore Grand Prix – Nico Rosberg was fastest in FP2, briefly silencing Mercedes’ fear of a lack of pace around the Marina Bay Circuit. After the disastrous weekend of Singapore this time last year for Mercedes, the world champions were cautious returning to the night race. However, Rosberg going fastest, albeit by just three tenths of a second, have calmed their concerns for now. Team mate Lewis Hamilton, however, had a difficult session as he was unable to put a proper qualifying lap together.
