Hamilton to run Halo for first time

Lewis Hamilton will trial the Halo head protection device for the first time in Friday practice at the Singapore GP - the concept he previously labelled "the worst-looking modification in F1 history". As F1 continues to evaluate the Halo ahead of an agreed 2018 introduction for improved cockpit protection, Hamilton and McLaren's Fernando Alonso will be among the latest drivers to run with it on their cars. It will be the first time the device has been tested in floodlit conditions.
