Sergio Perez hoping to announce F1 2017 plans by Malaysia after delay
Sergio Perez hopes to make his plans for the 2017 Formula 1 season official by the Malaysian Grand Prix in two weeks' time after delays prevented an announcement in Singapore. Perez is under contract with existing team Force India for next season, but is able to move by virtue of an escape clause, leaving the decision on his future down to his sponsors. Perez previously said that a decision would be taken after talks with his sponsors over the summer break, before saying in Belgium that he hoped to make an announcement before Singapore.
