Williams posts increased half year profits

Williams Grand Prix Holdings PLC posted a half year profit of £7.8 million between January and June of 2016, the companies latest financial results show. WGPH, a publically listed company, encompasses the Formula 1 team and Williams Advanced Engineering. Both companies posted an EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) profit for the first six months of the year. The F1 team's revenues fell slightly from £51.4m during the same period of 2015 to £51.3m, but profit rose by more than £2.5m to £4.1m.
