Button sets sights on challenging Ferrari in 2016

Jenson Button believes McLaren-Honda can challenge Ferrari on-track before the end of the 2016 Formula One season, after McLaren are set to continue development through the latter stages of the 2016 season. McLaren suffered one of their worst ever seasons in F1 last year, after the team failed to make any Q3 appearances, and scored a total of 27 points; meaning Manor was the only team that McLaren managed to beat in the constructors championship. However, the outlook has changed during the 2016 Formula 1 season, and improvements have been made both on the McLaren and its power unit, which has resulted in numerous Q3 appearances; and the team now sit in sixth position with 48 points.
