Mercedes complete 2017 Pirelli slick tyre test

Mercedes have completed the three-day test of the 2017 Pirelli tyres at the French circuit of Paul Ricard. Pascal Wehrlein received the honours of being put in a 2015 Silver Arrow, that was modified to replicate next year’s downforce levels. The sizes for 2017, 305/670-13 at the front and 405/670-13 at the rear, was the focal point of the testing as Pirelli, and Mercedes, aimed to gather as much data as possible over the three days of testing. The German youngster completed 286 laps over the three days using slick tyres. Testing for 2017 will resume again in two weeks towards the end of September, but with wet tyres.
