Mercedes & Ferrari continue Pirelli 2017 tyre tests

Both Mercedes and Ferrari have conducted 2017 tyre tests, with Mercedes trialling the new designs for the first time. Reigning champions Mercedes tested the 2017-specification Pirelli tyres for the first time, with development driver Pascal Wehrlein at the wheel of a modified version of the W06 – their 2015 championship-winning car. The current DTM champion and Manor race driver completed a lengthy 134 laps of the Paul Ricard circuit during day one of their slick tyre test, totalling well over 500km of running.
