Italian Grand Prix: Rosberg triumphs as Hamilton fumbles

Nico Rosberg powered from second place on the Monza grid, as his arch-rival and Mercedes teammate fumbled, to score a commanding victory in the the Italian Grand Prix and with it closing the gap in the championship table to a mere two points. Rosberg has won back-to-back races at the sport's most iconic venues, where he had never won before, and asserted himself after a mediocre pre-summer break run of races. The German was never seriously challenged after taking command at the start and kept the lead at around 13-14 seconds throughout the race.
