Ecclestone confirms three-year Monza deal

– Monza will remain on the Formula 1 calendar until at least the end of the 2019 season after a new three-year deal was confirmed by Bernie Ecclestone.The future of the Italian Grand Prix had remained uncertain, amid debates over the political and financial situation surrounding the venue.However, it was revealed earlier in the week that a three-year extension had been agreed and the details have now been finalised."The contract is here for three years but I hope we're here for another 100 years," Ecclestone said during a press conference at Monza.Formula 1 visited Monza on an annual basis since the inauguration of the championship since 1950, aside from in 1980, when it...
