Verstappen meets with FIA

Max Verstappen has met with FIA race director Charlie Whiting following widespread condemnation of his driving style. The Red Bull driver held talks with Whiting early on Friday morning at Monza ahead of first practice for the Italian GP. It's unclear whether Verstappen, who attended the meeting in the company of Jonathan Wheatley, Red Bull's race manager, was summoned to attend or if his team instigated the conference. On Thursday night, Whiting met with Ferrari pair Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel, who have been outspoken in their criticism of the Dutch teenager's driving style.
