Italian GP: Rosberg leads dominant Mercedes 1-2 in FP1

Nico Rosberg led a dominant Mercedes 1-2 in first practice for the Italian Grand Prix, outpacing teammate Lewis Hamilton. The German driver, the winner of the previous race at Spa last weekend, posted a best time of 1:22.959 to finish on top of the times. Rosberg, the only driver to dip into the 1:22s, set his fastest time with soft tyres, despite also going for a run on supersofts early in the session. He outpaced Hamilton by two tenths of a second, the Briton also setting his best time on soft tyres.
