Massa announces retirement from Formula 1
– Felipe Massa has announced that he will retire from Formula 1 at the end of the 2016 season, after stints at Sauber, Ferrari and Williams, bringing down the curtain on a 15-year career in the sport.Massa made the declaration during a special press conference in the Monza paddock on Thursday afternoon, ahead of the Italian Grand Prix, alongside Williams Deputy Team Principal Claire Williams.Massa stepped up to Formula 1 with Sauber back in 2002, contesting three full seasons over the next four years, before making the move to Ferrari, which had signed him to a lengthy holding contract.He racked up 11 victories in the coming seasons, and almost claimed the 2008 world title, losing...
