Magnussen declared fit for Italian GP after FIA checks

Renault's Kevin Magnussen has passed FIA's fitness checks to be cleared to contest the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, his team has confirmed. Magnussen crashed heavily during the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps last weekend, going into the barriers on exit of Raidillon at a high speed. He had limped away from the site of the crash, having suffered a cut and bruising to his left ankle, but was certain he would be fit in time for Monza. Having now passed the FIA's fitness test on Thursday, Magnussen will be back in the #20 Renault RS16 for Friday practice.
