Honda confirms new Alonso engine after qualifying “mistake”

McLaren's Fernando Alonso will take another fresh Honda engine for the Belgian Grand Prix, further adding to the 35-place grid penalty he has already for an earlier change. The Spaniard failed to complete a lap in qualifying at Spa-Francorchamps after his McLaren stopped on track with a power unit failure. The problem appears to have been a repeat of the issue he suffered in free practice with low oil pressure, and Honda admitted it had been a mistake to try to run in qualifying with the same engine.
