Gutierrez gets five-place grid penalty for Wehrlein incident

Esteban Gutierrez has been given a five-place grid penalty for impeding Pascal Wehrlein in third practice for this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix. The incident occurred early in the session at the top of Raidillon, when Wehrlein arrived on a flying lap to find Gutierrez cruising. The German was forced to take to the grass on the right in order to get past without making contact. He immediately made his feelings known on the team radio, calling Gutierrez “a f****** idiot” and suggesting that the incident would be worthy of a penalty. Wehrlein finished the session in 15th place, three behind Gutierrez - who has also received three penalty points. The stewards also looked at the incident...
