Sergio Perez: “The weather is going to play a big role”

The unexpected hot weather at Spa-Francorchamps will play a big role this weekend, according to Sahara Force India driver Sergio Perez. The Mexican showed strong pace during both of Friday’s free practice sessions at the Belgian track, finishing fourth fastest in the morning session before following that up with fifth place in the afternoon, and with team-mate Nico Hülkenberg also showing good pace, it was a good couple of sessions for the Silverstone-based outfit. Perez said that the first days running at Spa was positive for both him and the team, but he still feels there is work to be done in order to get on top of the set-up, especially as the management of tyre degradation is set...
