Belgian GP: Rosberg leads FP1 as Alonso hits trouble

Nico Rosberg set the pace in opening practice for the Belgian Grand Prix, leading a Mercedes 1-2 as Formula 1 returned to action after the summer break. Rosberg and teammate Lewis Hamilton were the only drivers to use the supersoft tyres during the 90 minutes of running, the German finishing with a best time of 1:48.348. Championship leader Hamilton, who looks set to start from the back of the grid, finished in second, albeit over seven tenths off his teammate's best. Kimi Raikkonen finished third for Ferrari, although the Finn set his best time with soft tyres, the same rubber used by Sergio Perez to go fourth quickest in the Force India. Sebastian Vettel wound up fifth nearly 1.5 seconds...
