Mercedes confirms Hamilton grid penalty
– Mercedes has confirmed that Lewis Hamilton will take a grid penalty at this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix, for exceeding his allocation of power unit elements, which is likely to send him to the back of the grid.Mercedes admitted on Wednesday that Hamilton was "likely" to suffer a grid drop at Spa-Francorchamps, given his precarious engine situation, brought on by a spate of reliability issues early in the season.Hamilton had already used up five Turbocharger and MGU-H elements, and three Internal Combustion Engine, Energy Store and Control Electronics elements over the races before the summer break.As per Formula 1's engine regulations, Hamilton will be hit with a...
