Hülkenberg to run halo during practice

– Force India's Nico Hülkenberg will run with the 'halo' device during Friday's first practice session for the Belgian Grand Prix this weekend, a spokesperson confirmed to GPUpdate.net.The halo, which wraps around the cockpit in the form of three struts, is the FIA's preferred head protection device, though its introduction has been delayed until 2018, in order to carry out further checks.Hülkenberg will use the halo for an installation lap at Spa-Francorchamps, enabling the FIA to evaluate visibility through steep gradients, such as at the Eau Rouge complex.Mercedes' Nico Rosberg is also set to run the device during the opening session in Belgium.Ferrari pair Sebastian Vettel and...
