Bitesize Gos – Mercedes 1954 Debut

1954 was a turning point for the German team after they won the French Grand Prix, with both drivers only 1 tenth of a second between one another and a lap ahead of the rest of the grid!   This created a mechanical gap for the team, leaps ahead of anyone else on the grid at the time, shown that year when Merc went on to claim podiums in almost every race thereafter.     Above is a little video made by Mercedes that takes you through that ground-breaking time….
