Ocon – I never thought I would be offered this opportunity so soon
Ahead of his Formula One race debut at the Belgian Grand Prix, Esteban Ocon has said he did not expect his opportunity to enter the pinnacle of motorsport quite so soon. The nineteen-year-old Frenchman will be replacing Rio Haryanto for the remainder of the season at Manor, after the Indonesian driver could not find the funds he needed to race a full season. “Thanks to all the tests and my preparation this year, I feel ready for it,” Ocon said, “It's helped me a lot. But I never thought that I would be offered this opportunity quite so soon.
