Mid-Season Report – Toro Rosso enjoyed one of the most positive starts to a season in the team’s history, with a super-aggressive aero set-up and 2015-spec Ferrari power unit helping them to two double points finishes in the first three races, as well as a sixth for Max Verstappen in Bahrain. However their big points hauls starting coming, strangely, after the loss of the young superstar Verstappen following the Russian Grand Prix. With extra motivation to find a top tier seat, Carlos Sainz Jr. stepped into the spotlight and led the team to his best Formula One finish at his home Grand Prix in Barcelona with sixth.
