Formula 1 says good bye to Chris Amon

It is a sad day for Formula 1 as we say goodbye to one of the greatest drivers to not win a race…     Chris Amon died on Wednesday after a battle with cancer, but we will always remember the driver for his impeccable skill and infuriating bad luck.   He is hailed as one of the best drivers to never win, leading 96 GPs but not winning one, through no fault of his own, he was simply the victim of persistent mechanical problems.   However, Chris did win the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1966 racing in a 7.0l  Ford GT40 Mk II.   Chris’s family released a statement after he passed.   “Chris battled cancer in recent years but retained not only a close interest in...
