Williams insists it won't wait too long for Button

Williams has insisted that it will not wait for too long on Jenson Button to decide if he wants to join the team. The Grove-based team is understood to have already held preliminary discussions with the former world champion about a deal for 2017, but the discussions have not reached an advanced stage yet. While Williams would love Button on board, it also has a host of other candidates for a seat next year. It has an option on Valtteri Bottas, and is also interested in Sergio Perez if the Mexican believes he can get out of his Force India contract. Felipe Nasr could also make the switch from Sauber.
