Jenson Button: 'Eighth was as good as it was going to get today'
A brilliant drive from Jenson Button gave McLaren-Honda some much needed points in the fight for sixth place in the Constructors' Championship. The German Grand Prix would not be McLaren strongest race but Button drove brilliantly to secure four valuable points. “I made a very good start and made up most of the places there,' said Button. 'After that, it was just about looking after the tyres, which were degrading faster than we’d expected. We also had to do a fair amount of fuel-saving, too, particularly in the last 10 laps”. Button drove superbly to finish eighth ahead of the Williams’ and Sergio Perez in the Force India. The 2009 World Champion was pleased to beat both...
