Rosberg hit with penalty points for Verstappen overtake

German Grand Prix – Nico Rosberg's painful day at the Hockenheimring has wrapped up with the Mercedes driver slapped with penalty points. Rosberg made a poor start to the race from pole position, not only losing out to teammate Lewis Hamilton but also the Red Bulls of Max Verstappen & Daniel Ricciardo. Following the Red Bull pair around for the opening half of the race, Rosberg set about attacking Verstappen after his pitstop and dived past into the hairpin. It was an aggressive move that resulted in Verstappen leaving the track as Rosberg pushed him wide. Rosberg's defence was that the Dutch driver moved under braking and this resulted in him having to take a tighter turn around...
