Carbon fragment in eye puts brake on Button s day

Jenson Button cut short his Friday at Hockenheim to make an emergency trip to the local hospital after getting something in his eye during the afternoon session. The McLaren driver had completed only six laps in what was scheduled to be a 90-minute session where he would have focused on his car's long run potential before leaving the circuit, but was back in the paddock in time for the evening debrief after receiving treatment in nearby Mannheim.
