Vettel to kick off Pirelli 2017 testing at Fiorano after German GP

German Grand Prix – Sebastian Vettel will be the first driver to start work on Pirelli's 2017 tyre testing, as he returns to Fiorano after the Hockenheim race. Pirelli have been granted 24 days of specific tyre testing ahead of the 2017 season, due to the sweeping technical changes on the way for next year. Strategy Group agreements have rubberstamped regulations that should see the cars in the region of 4-5 seconds a lap faster, with increased downforce and mechanical grip coupled with fatter tyres all round. Pirelli pushed for more specific track time that would allow them to focus on ensuring their new tyre structures will be fully ready for 2017, and three teams have been lined...
