Allison leaves Ferrari with immediate effect

Ferrari have announced that Technical director James Allison will be leaving the team with immediate effect. “The team would like to thank James for his commitment and sacrifice during the time spent together, and wishes him success and serenity for his future endeavours,' said Ferrari Team Principal Maurizio Arrivabene. While his contract with the Maranello outfit does not expire until 2017, Allison's premature exit from the team has been rumoured since the start of the season. The SF16-H has failed to meet expectations as a rival to Mercedes, and the tragic death of Allison's wife shortly after the season opener in Melbourne has left him seeking a full-time return to Britain in order...
