Manor Racing working to secure Haryanto's F1 future Manor racing director Dave Ryan says that securing Rio Haryanto in its car for the second half of the Formula 1 season remains “plan A” despite the Indonesian’s still finding for financial source. Haryanto became Indonesia’s first F1 driver at the beginning of the season; he only had funding to secure the seat until after the Hungarian Grand Prix. Haryanto's main sponsor is state-owned oil company Pertamina, which has contributed five million euros ($5.48 million) towards the funding, needed to secure his seat at the sport's smallest team.
